Blog

Welcome to the Fleurs de Temps Blog, a collection of floral design videos, announcements of upcoming workshops, and brief reflections on the art of floral design.  This current collection of videos has in one way or another either influenced my work or reinforced some of the design techniques I already use.  That’s gratifying.  These floral artists are some of the best, and their work deserves applause.  So enjoy.  I welcome your comments about anything on this page you find particularly engaging or useful—or just a question or concern regarding floral design in general.  Leave any thoughts or suggestions in the message section on the Connect page.  Thanks for browsing, and I do look forward to hearing from you.

Garden Rose Design Contest (July 2020)

His two designs of choice will be entered under the category of Wedding work, everyday design and more.

“. . . luscious woodbine,

With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:

There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, Lull’d in these flowers with dances and delight.”

Shakespeare—“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

Shed no tear - O, shed no tear!
The flower will bloom another year.
Weep no more - O, weep no more!
Young buds sleep in the root's white core.
- John Keats
