WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK MY WEDDING?
 

Once you have selected your venue, you should arrange to meet with Thomas Joseph, ideally 3-6 months in advance of your event.

WILL FLEURS DE TEMPS DO ALL VARIETIES OF FUNERAL DESIGNS?

Casket saddles and large free-standing sprays are not part of my funeral repertoire at this time. Usually Fleurs de Temps’ funeral clients are most interested in a lovely arrangement representing a variety of price points to express their condolences.

WHAT KINDS OF FLOWERS ARE MOST COMMON IN YOUR DESIGNS?

I work on behalf of my clients and according to their specified budgets. There are no two or three flowers that appear over and over in my designs.  A lot depends on the season and client preferences.  I can always and am happy to make recommendations, and with soon-to-be brides, for example, provide lots of pictures showing a wide selection of bridal bouquets, attendants’ flowers, wedding location and reception designs. My flowers come from a nearby and very reliable wholesaler, local growers, and even in the summer months from my own garden.

WHAT ABOUT PROMS?

​

Proms are one of my favorite design occasions, simply because I love consulting with the high school students and their parents—that probably comes from my teaching experiences—and helping them make decisions regarding corsage type, ribbon, bling, and most importantly flower choices.  As with weddings, I provide lots of picture samples and always work within their specified budgets. I especially enjoy helping them select the perfect buttonhole for their partners. Being that they occur during a hectic time of the year, I recommend early ordering for prom flowers.

DO YOU USE FAUX FLOWERS FOR ANY OF YOUR OCCASION DESIGNS?

Particularly in home and holiday décor designs, I use a lot of silks and in some instances good quality dried flowers.  I specialize in seasonal floral wreaths, many of which are displayed in my design studio, but I also do special orders.  However, many of my home and holiday décor designs are created with fresh flowers and variegated foliage—i.e. Valentines and Mother’s Day.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR DESIGNS COST?

​

Prices are variable, and it’s important to keep in mind Fleurs de Temps always works within the specified budgets of its clients. Today, flowers in general are expensive. I want my clients to know that I can design a lovely wedding topiary, a beautiful funeral arrangement, or a special prom corsage/buttonhole to meet both their aesthetic and economical needs.
